55, YCE 69, YCE 68-1, U 113, Rescue 14, Trucks 10,12,14 HBG Truck 3, Squad
13, Air 13, Ambulance 10, QRS 10 Traf 114,113,214 dispatched to 535
Harding Street for reports of a Garage Fire ( Chief 10 Kann ) and Squad 13
arrived first on location with a working fire Squad 13 pulled a 3"
handline to make the initial attack. |

dispatched to 944 Indiana Ave for a tree on a house Engine 210 crew asst
Company 13 and Truck 14 with removing the tree from the house. |

On the evening of 1/25 Company 10,13,14,12, YCT 68
dispatched to 22 8th street for reports of an unknown type building fire (
Deputy Chief Kepes ) arrived on scene with fire in the woods to the rear
of the building Squad 13 arrived on scene and pulled a hand line to knock
down fire.

Penguin Plunge |

On Saturday, February 13th Members of the New
Cumberland Fire Department assisted Harrisburg River Rescue in providing
medical to approximately 600 people participating in the Special
Olympics' annual Polar Plunge held on City Island.

On the early morning hours of 2/28 Engine Company
10, Ambulance 10,QRS 10 dispatched to Simpson ferry Road & Brandt Ave for
an MVA ( Chief 10 Kann & Deputy Chief Kepes ) arrived on scene with 1
vehicle struck a park car Engine 210 crew cribbed vehicle,
disconnected
battery and asst Ambulance with patient care. |

On the early morning hours of March 16 Box 10-1 Engine 210,
Ambulance 10, QRS 10, Squad 13 dispatched to 3rd Street and Poplar
Ave for an auto accident ( Chief 10 Kann ) arrived on scene with one
vehicle struck a tree requesting YCR 68 and YCA 69 to scene and Life
Lion to fly Squad 13 set up landing zone at Hillside Elementary
School. |

Lewisberry Road in Fairview Township Box 68-04 at Mt. Zion
Elementary School for a building fire Truck 10 crew asst with roof
operation Engine 210 crew asst with interior operations.

dispatched to 485 Nauvoo Road in Fairview Twp Box 68-04 for a
working structure fire Truck 10 crew assisted with overhaul
operations QRS 10 crew assisted with rehab. |

2nd Alarm Structure Fire |

On April 6 at 02:30 hours Truck 10 dispatched to 378 East Front
Street in Lewisberry Borough Box 29-01 for an AFA while enroute York Command 29 arrived on scene with a working
building fire upgraded to 2nd alarm. Truck 10 crew went to work
assisted with search operations on 2nd floor of structure and
assisted with ventilation on 2nd floor and assisted with salvage and
overhaul on 1st floor of structure. |

Cumberland River Rescue and East Pennsboro EMS, provided emergency
medical support at the Camp Hill MS Walk |

Smells In The 10-1 Box |
|
On April 21 Engine Company 10,13 Truck 10,14 Air 13, Squad 13,
YCR68, YCE 68-1 dispatched to 420 Geary Ave for an odor of inside
Truck 10 arrived first on side A of the 2 story duplex. Chief 10 (
Kann ) took command as Deputy Chief ( Kepes ) took operations. Crews
found heating oil spilled in basement. Crews used PPV to remove odor
from house.

At 08:00 on April 29 Engine 210 dispatched to 300 Ridge Road in
Newberry Township for a working fire Engine 210 crew arrived on
scene and assisted with interior operations on the first mobile home
and than assisted with roof operations on the 2nd mobile home. |

At 06:00 hours the members from the New Cumberland Fire Department
assisted the New Cumberland Boating & Fishing Club with cleaning off
their boat docks. |

On a nice warm Wednesday evening the members of the New Cumberland
Fire Department go out and train on master stream operations.

Xpedx Drill |

the New Cumberland Fire Department assisted the WSBF with a drill at
the Xpedx building. We would like to thank the WSBF for the inviting
us to the drill. |

At 00:14 hours on May 26 Truck 10 responded to the 1400 Block of
Simpson Ferry Road to asst Ambulance 10 with lifting while enroute
Cumberland County 911 dispatched Truck 10 to transfer to Dauphin
County Station 456 to stand by while they operated on the scene of a
working barn fire Truck 10 returned to service at 04:06 "

Church Of The Nazarene |
|
On a nice warm Sunday May 30 members from the Fire Department took
Engine 210 to stand by at the Church Of The Nazarene and assisted
them with their event. We would like to thank the Church for
inviting us. |

Entrapment On I83 |
|
around 12:15 Box 10-99 Engine 210, YCE 68, YCA 68 Squad 13,
Ambulance 10, Ambulance 85 dispatched to Interstate 83 North exit 40
for an MVA Duty Chief 10 (Palmos) arrived on scene with a 2 car
accident 1 with entrapment YCE 68 and Squad 13 crew used tool to
extricated patient from vechicle Engine 210 crew assisted with
manpower and hazardous clean up.

2nd Entrapment On I83 |
|
2 Hours later same location just North of exit 40 Box 10-99 company
10, Squad 13, YCE 68, Ambulance 85, YRA 68 dispatched for an
MVA involving 4 cars and 1 Tractor Trailer. One vehicle had 1
patient heavily entrapped. Squad 13 was first on scene and started
to extricate the patient from the vehicle with the help of
additional manpower as they arrived. 1 patient was flown by Life
Lion to a local trauma center. |

Building Fire Box 113-01 |
|
Mid morning hour of June 8 Engine Company 10 dispatched along with
other units to 829 State Street in Lemoyne for reports of fire in
walls command 1 arrived on scene with fire in walls and ceiling
requesting an additional Truck and 2 additional Engines to the
scene. Engine 210 crew assisted with interior operations and clean
up. |
