Units where dispatched to 312 11th
Street in New Cumberland for reports of heavy smoke coming from a
house Chief 10 Kann & Chief 110 Kepes arrived on scene with a 3
story duplex with heavy smoke coming from the basement. Truck 10
arrived on scene taking side A of structure Squad 13 arrived on
scene laying 5 inch in from 11th and Bridge Street. Crews on scene
used PPV to remove smoke from structure, and used Co meter. |

10 dispatched to Hummel Ave & 3rd Street in Lemoyne for an odor
inside the structure command 1 arrived on scene with light smoke
in the structure Engine 210 crew assisted with PPV to side A of
structure and placing a ladder to side D of structure. |

Engine 210 dispatched to 1200 Market Street in Lemoyne for reports
of smoke in the building Engine 210 staged at the hydrant at the CVS
parking lot Engine 210 crew reported to manpower. |

Truck 10 and Engine 210 responded with other
units to 6 Miramar Street in Fairview Township for a working
mobile home fire. Truck 10 and Engine 210 crew assisted with
exterior fire ground operations. |

| York Box 68-2 2nd
Alarm |
 |
Truck 10 responded to 390 Big Springs Road in
Fairview Twp for reports of a working structure fire. While
enroute command 68 arrived on scene with a working structure
requesting 2nd alarm Engine 210, QRS 10, Ambulance 10 also
dispatched for the working fire. Truck 10 arrived on scene to side
A of structure Engine 210 arrived on scene to side D of structure
crews assisted with fire suppression, Overhaul operations.
Ambulance 10, QRS 10 assisted Fairview EMS with rehab.
A Special Thanks to Dauphin County Truck 456 and Dauphin County
Engine 30 for standing by in our station and helping us with clean

Transfer Assignment |
 |
Engine Co. 10 dispatched to transfer to Mechanicsburg Co. 27 station
to standby while units operated on a 3rd alarm structure fire at 48
W. Main Street. Thanks to Dauphin County Engine Co. 30 for covering
our first due area.

A Busy Day For The 10 House |
 |
mother nature paid us another visit. At around 04:00am our first
call came in for trees and wires down on cars and houses, followed
by a CO detector call, trees, wires down and transformer
explosions. Then heavy downpour returned around 06:00 am and the
flooding calls started coming in . Around 07:00 am the heavy down
pours hit New Cumberland hard. Company 10 was dispatched to the
1300 Block of Bridge Street for an AFA while enroute Deputy Chief
Kepes advised all units that Bridge Street and Park Ave to atleast
Pine Street was severely flooded. While enroute there was a car
floating down Park Ave in the area between Forest and Pine with a
person still inside of the car. Lieutenant Kann who was driving
the ambulance performed the rescue and pulled the stranded person
to safety as EMT/ Firefighter Smith and EMT/ Firefighter Tomlinson
where checking out the other cars that where on the roadway. Our
last call due to the weather was a residence on Third Street that
had structural damage to the wall that divided the duples
unfortunately the occupants where not able to return to the
residence do to the codes officer and the Chief from team 500
deemed the two residence unsafe to live in until repaired. A great
job to all that responded on all of the storm related calls. |

2nd Alarm In The Beacon Hill Area |

around 11am units from Cumberland County, York County, Dauphin
County dispatched to 1751 Creek Vista Drive in Lower Allen
Township Box 12-01 for reports of a house fire command 12 arrived
on scene to find a working fire requesting 2nd alarm. Engine 210
crew assisted with interior and exterior operations. Thanks to
Dauphin County Truck 456 and Dauphin Engine 30 for standing by in
our station |

3rd Alarm In The 10-1 Box |

around 10:30 am units where dispatched to 121 Market Street for a
possible house fire police dept arrived on scene with heavy smoke
and fire from the 2nd floor of the structure than Deputy Chief
Kepes arrived on scene with command. Deputy Chief Kepes requested
2nd alarm and than requested 3rd alarm for manpower due to the
heat. Thank to Dauphin County Truck 456 and Dauphin County Engine
30 for standing by in our station. |

Working Car Fire Box 113-03 |

Engine Co 10 with other units dispatched to 402 S. 3rd Street at
the HESS EXPRESS in Lemoyne for reports of car and gas pump on
fire. Command 1 arrived on scene with a working car fire next to
the gas pump company 13 first arrived on scene pulling a handline
Engine 210 crew assisted company 13. |

Bedroom Fire In The 10-4 Box |

Truck 10,14 Engine Co 10, 13,12, Squad 13 Air 13
QRS 10, Ambulance 10 dispatched to 505 Park Ave in New
Cumberland for reports of a house fire. Police dept arrived on
scene with fire showing from a bedroom. Police dept used a fire
extinguisher to knock fire down. Deputy Chief Kepes arrived on
scene taking command. Engine 210 crew arrived on scene pulling an
attack line to side A of structure all extra manpower assisted
with placing a ladder on side A of structure and PPV. |

MVA With Injuries |

Engine 210, Ambulance 10 ,YCR 68 dispatched to Interstate 83 N. at
exit 40 for reports of an auto accident with injuries while
enroute cumberland county 911 advised Chief 10 Kann that the
accident would be at the Cumberland / York county line the box was
updated with Engine 312, Ambulance 74. Chief 10 Kann had command
Chief 110 Kepes had operation Engine 210 and YCR 68 crew used
hydry for fluid control and clean up. |

Truck 10, Engine 210 along with other units from Cumberland, York,
Dauphin responded to 147 Herman Ave in Lemoyne box 113-2 for a
kitchen fire Chief Shadle arrived on scene
with heavy smoke showing requesting 2nd alarm due to the intense
temperatures. Responding crews assisted with roof operations and
interior and exterior operations. |

2nd Street and Poplar Ave for an auto accident Chief 10 Kann arrived on scene with 1 vehicle into a pole Engine 210 crew
disconnected battery from vehicle command 10 placed the box in
service short time later. |

Garage Fire |
|
Truck 10, Engine 210, Ambulance 10 responded to 124 16th Street to
the rear for a garage fire Squad 13 arrived on scene first with
heavy smoke showing and put 2 handlines in service crews found some of the contents inside the
garage burning. Crews removed the hazard from the garage and checked
for extension into the structure. Crews where on the scene for an
hour. |
